Each other<\/em> e one another<\/em> sono chiamati reciprocal pronouns<\/em>, proprio in virt\u00f9 del significato di reciprocit\u00e0 che trasmettono.\u00a0Esiste per\u00f2 una differenza fra each other<\/em> e one another<\/em>? E se s\u00ec, qual \u00e8?<\/p>

C’\u00e8 differenza tra each other<\/em> e one another?<\/em><\/h1>

Partiamo col dire che l’uso di questi pronomi fa riferimento a un’azione che uno o pi\u00f9 membri di un gruppo compiono nei confronti di o per gli altri membri. Mettiamo il caso che, nella vostra compagnia di amici, Andrew e Scarlett si piacciano.<\/p>

In questo caso potreste dire che \u201cAndrew and Scarlett like each other<\/em>\u201d o \u201cAndrew and Scarlett like one another\u201d.<\/em><\/p>

Un’altra peculiarit\u00e0 dei due pronomi \u00e8 che possono essere sia l’oggetto diretto che quello indiretto sia di verbi che di preposizioni. Qualche esempio:<\/p>

  1. We help<\/u> each other\/<\/strong> one another<\/strong> a lot<\/em><\/li>
  2. They send<\/u> each other<\/strong>\/ one another <\/strong>gift very often<\/em><\/li>
  3. Their kids are jealous of<\/u> each other<\/strong>\/ one another<\/strong><\/em><\/li>
  4. We don’t want to look at<\/u> each other<\/strong>\/ one another<\/strong><\/em><\/li><\/ol>

    Come vedete, non c’\u00e8 differenza tra each other<\/em> e one another: <\/em><\/strong>il loro uso \u00e8 perfettamente sinonimico, tanto che ormai tale distinzione sta scomparendo in favore del solo each other<\/em>.<\/p>

    La differenza nell’uso va quasi esclusivamente per preferenze personali: c’\u00e8 chi preferisce usare each other<\/em> quando l’azione coinvolge due persone e one another<\/em> quando ne coinvolge pi\u00f9 di due<\/span>, o magari ancora si usa one another<\/em> in contesti pi\u00f9 formali. Questo aspetto \u00e8 particolarmente importante da ricordare, soprattutto se ti stai preparando per ottenere la certificazione B1 di inglese!<\/a><\/p>

    Come gi\u00e0 menzionato, per\u00f2, ci\u00f2 deriva esclusivamente dalla preferenza del parlante, e possiamo ormai affermare che one another<\/em> sia quasi una creatura in via di estinzione.<\/p>
