Parlare inglese dal dottore, pu\u00f2 creare difficolt\u00e0 o imbarazzo ma \u00e8 fondamentale, soprattutto se si \u00e8 all’estero e, sfortunatamente, non ci si sente bene. A nessuno piace ammalarsi o farsi male durante le ferie, ma purtroppo sono cose che possono succedere e se succedono bisogna essere preparati! Quindi se questa estate viaggerai alla volta di un paese anglofono, la lezione di oggi \u00e8 essenziale poich\u00e9 imparerai termini ed espressioni utili nel caso in cui tu debba recarti da un dottore o in una farmacia.<\/p>\n\n

Dal dottore in inglese: tutte le parole e le frasi utili<\/h2>\n\n

itchy<\/strong><\/em> (aggettivo) [ich<\/strong>-ee] – uncomfortable sensation that makes you want to scratch the affected area.<\/p>\n

E.g. I’ve got three mosquito bites on my arm and now it’s super itchy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

prescription <\/strong><\/em>(nome) – a piece of paper written by a medical doctor that authorizes the patient to receive medicine.<\/p>\n

E.g. The doctor gave me a prescription so I could get antibiotics from the pharmacy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

drugstore<\/strong><\/em> (nome) – a place that has a pharmacy but also sells other products, such as makeup and snacks. They are commonly found in the USA. (called chemist<\/strong> <\/em>in the UK)<\/p>\n

E.g. I forgot to pack my eye contact solution, is there a drug store nearby?<\/em><\/p>\n\n

sneeze<\/strong><\/em> (verbo) – a sudden involuntary expulsion of air from the nose and mouth.<\/p>\n

E.g. Brett has terrible hay fever in spring so he always has to sneeze.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

nauseous <\/strong><\/em>(aggettivo) – the feeling of sickness in your stomach and wanting to vomit.<\/p>\n

E.g. Many women experience nausea during their pregnancies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

painkiller <\/strong><\/em>(nome) – a drug that reduces pain such as ibuprofen or aspirin.<\/p>\n

E.g. I have a terrible headache, do you have any painkillers?<\/em><\/p>\n\n

    La parola ache\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>[pronounced eyk<\/em>] pu\u00f2 essere sia un verbo che un nome e sta rispettivamente per ‘to hurt<\/em>‘ o ‘a pain<\/em>‘.
