Ma per spettegolare bene in una lingua straniera \u00e8 necessario affrontare un punto grammaticale importante: il\u00a0<strong>discorso indiretto in inglese<\/strong>. Che si tratti di amici, familiari, colleghi o celebrit\u00e0, c&#8217;\u00e8 qualcosa di esilarante nella trasmissione di dicerie; quindi ecco una rapida panoramica di tutto quello che devi sapere per aggiornare i tuoi amici sull&#8217;ultimo gossip dell&#8217;ufficio, con tanti <strong>esempi sul discorso indiretto in inglese<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Esempi di discorso indiretto in inglese:<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">cos&#8217;\u00e8 e quando si usa<\/h2>\n\n<p>Quando riportiamo il discorso di altre persone, di solito non ripetiamo quello che hanno detto parola per parola. Al contrario, mescoliamo la citazione all&#8217;interno del nostro discorso usando una costruzione della frase conosciuta come <em>indirect speech<\/em> o <em>reported speech<\/em> (discorso indiretto).<\/p>\n<p>Si consideri l&#8217;esempio che segue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DIRECT SPEECH: <em>Wanda said, \u2018<strong>I love <\/strong>Justin Bieber!\u2019<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>INDIRECT SPEECH<\/strong>: <em>Wanda said<strong> (that) she loved <\/strong>Justin Bieber.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Allora, quali sono le differenze? In primo luogo, puoi subito notare che il presente si trasforma in <strong>passato semplice<\/strong>. Questa \u00e8 la caratteristica pi\u00f9 importante del discorso indiretto: ogni frase si sposta indietro di un passo nel tempo. In secondo luogo, l&#8217;argomento \u00e8 cambiato da &#8220;io&#8221; a &#8220;lei&#8221;, indicando che stiamo raccontando il discorso di una terza persona. Infine, la citazione \u00e8 introdotta dalla parola &#8220;che&#8221;. \u00c8 importante notare, tuttavia, che <em>that<\/em> \u00e8 spesso omesso nell&#8217;inglese parlato in quanto \u00e8 considerato piuttosto formale e antiquato.<\/p>\n<p>Sembra facile, vero? Attenzione per\u00f2, poich\u00e9 le domande indirette non sono formulate invertendo il soggetto e il verbo come in una normale domanda, ma vengono introdotte dalla locuzione <em>if\u00a0<\/em>prima di una dichiarazione affermativa.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Sophie asked me if was I serious. <\/em>(Incorrect)<\/li>\n<li><em>Sophie <strong>asked me if<\/strong> <strong>I was serious.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><strong>(correct)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><em><u>Claim<\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><em>To claim<\/em> significa affermare che qualcosa \u00e8 vero, anche se si hanno poche o nessuna prova.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The actor <strong>claimed<\/strong> that he had been abducted by aliens!<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The president <strong>claimed <\/strong>that the opposition was trying to sabotage the election.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><em><u>Deny \/ Admit<\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Se si nega un&#8217;accusa, si usa <em>to deny<\/em>.
