Come saprai, si tratta di particelle invariabili con cui puoi collegare due o pi\u00f9 parole di una frase, oppure due proposizioni tra loro: senza di esse, comunicare qualcosa di senso compiuto \u00e8 piuttosto difficile! Chiarita la loro importanza, non rimane che approfondire &#8211; per bene &#8211; quali sono e <strong>quando si usano le congiunzioni in inglese:<\/strong> continua a leggere per saperne di pi\u00f9, soprattutto se ti stai preparando per la <a href=\"https:\/\/myes-staging.nohup.host\/it\/ottieni-una-certificazione\/livelli\/b1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">certificazione B1!<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Congiunzioni in inglese: quando si usano?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Andiamo per ordine: proprio come in italiano, anche<strong>\u00a0le congiunzioni<\/strong> <strong>in inglese <\/strong>si dividono tra<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Coordinative<\/span> (uniscono due frasi principali)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Subordinative<\/span> (uniscono una principale e una o pi\u00f9 subordinate)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Congiunzioni in inglese coordinative<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>AND<\/em><\/strong> funziona come l\u2019italiana \u201ce\u201d, e unisce due concetti simili fra loro<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>milk <u>and<\/u> coffee<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I bought bread <u>and<\/u> you ate it all<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>OR<\/em><\/strong> si traduce con \u201coppure\u201d e indica un\u2019alternativa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>right <u>or<\/u> wrong<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Do you want jam <u>or<\/u> ham in your sandwich?<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>BUT<\/em> <\/strong>non significa solo \u201cma\u201d; esprime anche il concetto di \u201ctranne\/tranne che\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I bought a shirt, <u>but<\/u> I was looking for a skirt<\/em><br \/>\n<em>You said \u201chi\u201d to everyone <u>but<\/u> Matt<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>SO<\/em><\/strong> nel suo uso come congiunzione, significa \u201cperch\u00e9\/perci\u00f2\/quindi\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>She will never accept at these conditions, <u>so<\/u> why bother?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I made this gift for you, <u>so<\/u> please accept it<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>YET<\/em> <\/strong>come congiunzione, indica \u201ceppure\/nonostante\/tuttavia\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>She is small, <u>yet<\/u> very strong<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Travelling is wonderful, <u>yet<\/u> expensive<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>NOR<\/strong> <\/em>(e\u00a0<strong><em>NEITHER<\/em><\/strong>) significa \u201cn\u00e9\u201d, e si usa per unire due frasi negative. La prima delle due si dovrebbe far precedere da <em>neither<\/em>, ma nel parlato spesso si usa semplicemente un altro <em>nor.\u00a0<\/em>Attenzione! Se\u00a0la frase principale \u00e8 negativa, <em>neither<\/em> si pu\u00f2 omettere<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>It is <u>neither<\/u> right <u>nor<\/u> wrong, it\u2019s just the only thing to do<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I am <u>nor<\/u> angry <u>nor<\/u> sad, I am just disappointed<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I won\u2019t buy you any candy bar, <u>nor<\/u> any chocolate<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Congiunzioni in inglese subordinative<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>AFTER<\/strong> <\/em>(dopo\/dopo che)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><u>After<\/u> we watched the movie, I went home<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I phoned grandma <u>after<\/u> I finished work<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>ALTHOUGH, THOUGH, EVEN THOUGH<\/em> <\/strong>(anche se\/nonostante\/sebbene\/bench\u00e9) indicano una condizione che si verifica nonostante quella presentata nella frase principale. Attenzione a non usare queste congiunzioni come sinonimo di <em>even if<\/em> (ne parlo qui sotto), che si usa in contesti di ipoteticit\u00e0 pi\u00f9 che di certezza!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><u>(Al)though<\/u> I love Rome, I would never live there<\/em><br \/>\n<em>They have never been to Spain, <u>(al)though <\/u>they usually travel a lot<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>EVEN IF <\/em><\/strong>(anche se\/perfino se) introduce una condizione che si verificherebbe a prescindere da quella presentata nella frase principale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><u>Even if<\/u> she becomes a star, she will never change<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I would not date Josh <u>even if <\/u>he was the last man on Earth!<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>AS\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(come)<em> &#8211; <\/em><em><strong>AS IF<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(come se)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>You must do <u>as<\/u> the boss says<\/em><br \/>\n<em>We are running <u>as if<\/u> the police were after us!<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>AS LONG AS<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(purch\u00e9\/finch\u00e9\/fintantoch\u00e9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>You can do whatever you want <u>as long as<\/u> you don\u2019t disturb me<\/em><br \/>\n<em><u>As long as<\/u> you\u2019ll stay here, you\u2019ll be paying rent<br \/>\nWe can still make it <u>as long as<\/u> we stay together!<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>AS MUCH AS<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(per quanto\/tanto\u2026 quanto)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><u>As much as<\/u> I wanted my daughter to be a doctor, she decided to study Art<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I can eat <u>as much as<\/u> I want and I never get fat<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>AS SOON AS\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(appena, non appena)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I\u2019ll show you the laptop I want <u>as soon as<\/u> we get to the shop<br \/>\n<u>As soon as<\/u> I left, the radiators broke<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>AS THOUGH<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(come se).
